opinion-miles-club-reviewThe internet offers diverse ways through which you can obtain rewards for some of your time and, sometimes, a small amount of effort. These rewards can come in the form of gift cards, discounts, free products and even cash.

Every market research panel asks for different things and rewards you differently, as well. In the case of the Opinion Miles Club, you are only asked to complete surveys to gain compensation.

Now, are these prizes really worthy of your time and energy? The only way to find out is to know exactly what the website does and what you can get back from it.

How does the website work?

The Opinion Miles Club is a site that asks you to complete surveys so you can accumulate rewards. As simple as that.

Joining the Opinion Miles Club is completely free, open to everyone who resides in the United States and that is already member of the MileagePlus loyalty program.

In case you do not know what it is, MileagePlus is a loyalty program mostly run by United Airlines that has been voted the World´s Best Frequent Flyer Program several times now, because it not only pays good miles for each flight you take, but the rewards are also high quality.

The reward system of the website is extremely easy; you join and complete surveys in order to get one unique prize, which are airline or travel miles.

These miles, now considered a type of virtual currency, can later be exchanged for free flights, trips and other types of entertainment with airlines that belong to the MileagePlus program, such as United and Copa Airlines.

Once you have signed up for an account, you will be asked to provide a valid MileagePlus number before completing registration. Right after that, you will have to take your first survey, which will automatically add up 300 award miles to your total balance.

The Opinion Miles Club works alongside similar companies, meaning that if you happen to be a frequent flyer and already have a MileagePlus account or are a premier member, you will have the unique opportunity of making not 300 but 600 points as soon as you are done with survey number one.

It is important to note that, although the Opinion Miles Club is open to everyone, you will first have to acquire membership with MileagePlus. If you are not a MileagePlus member, you are not eligible for the Opinion Miles Club as their membership is exclusively valid in conjunction with this particular loyalty program.

The survey system

Once you become a member of the Opinion Miles Club, you will start receiving opportunities to share your opinions through online surveys. The website will then award you with airline miles every time you successfully complete a survey of any kind.

Opinion Miles Club works with major corporations around the world; this means that the surveys you will be receiving will contain subjects that range from products and services of any kind to giving feedback about certain business or government topics.

An average survey will take around 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and awards somewhere between 50 and 70 miles. The number of surveys you will be able to finish will be determined by your demographics and which types of research are being conducted at the time.

These survey invitations will reach you via email. Other email may also be sent with tips and tricks to remember while being a member of the Opinion Miles Club. In addition, you can also log into your account anytime and directly take surveys from there.

The payment method is unique and cannot be chosen; by completing surveys you will only be awarded miles directly to your MileagePlus account, and nothing more. You cannot exchange your time for cash or gift cards with the Opinion Miles Club.

Along with the surveys, by being a member of the Opinion Miles Club program, you will also have the opportunity to participate in sweepstakes, which are held periodically and awards 1,000 bonus miles to the lucky winners.

Pros

The main advantage of being an Opinion Miles Club member is that if you happen to be a frequent flyer, the program will be quite useful as you can add miles that can later get you a free flight a year if you are a diligent panelist.

Another upside is that you will connect your MileagePlus account to your Opinion Miles Club membership upon registration, so your miles will be directly deposited into your MP account once you finish a survey. No transfers, no minimum balance before redeeming, and no waiting time at all.

With the Opinion Miles Club, you won´t have to do much; once an email with a survey invitation comes in, you can complete it and easily gain award miles. Their system is simple and direct, it requires zero online browsing, shopping, watching videos or anything related. It is a real survey-award program.

Cons

One downside of using Opinion Miles Club is that you can only make miles with it. There is no cash for you on this website, so if you want to make a few extra bucks a month completing a couple of surveys, the Opinion Miles Club is not for you. They do not pay with actual money because the company is not focused on this.

The only way you can obtain a reward is in the form of travel miles, but the problem is that you will have to continue earning miles and completing surveys for as long as you have not redeemed them. This will keep your account active because if it doesn´t, your award miles will expire forever.

Also, as stated before on the article, you will have to be a member of the MileagePlus program in order to qualify for Opinion Miles Club. If you do not have a MP loyalty program membership, there is really not much you can do with this reward panel.

A common thing that happens among users is that only emailed invitations contain surveys that you can complete and get miles for. If you log into their website and try to take an extra survey or two, there is a high chance that you do not fit the correct demographic characteristics and will be screened out of the survey without receiving any rewards.

Some members state that out of 10 surveys they directly try through the Opinion Miles Club, maybe one or two, if you are lucky, will let you finish it and reward you with miles.

In addition, the website’s design appears to be simple and elegant, but the truth is that it is quite difficult to navigate because it has different survey platforms inside it, which can take some time to get used to.

Likewise, you get award miles for each survey you finish, but do not expect to be able to travel for free three times a year. The miles you can add up with the Opinion Miles Club are enough to be useful alongside the miles you are already making by using opinion-miles-club-scamyour MileagePlus account.

You won’t be reaching enough miles to travel for free solely on the Opinion Miles Club, although it seems that a few years back, you might have been able to.

As is with most paid surveys websites, the Opinion Miles Club appears to be in decay. Maybe because the number of users increases every day and it becomes more difficult to award so many people. But the truth is that it is not surprising at all that the program gets worse every year.

Lastly, their customer service is not at all helpful. They do not offer real answers but scripted ones (really? Is that still legal these days?), and you might try to give them a call to the 1-800 number, but that doesn´t promise you that they will find a solution to your various problems.

Conclusion

The Opinion Miles Club is not a scam at all; they are far too connected with running companies that have pretty high standards to build up a fraudulent system. This option pays, although it might not pay well or in the form you are looking for. By completing their surveys, you will get award miles but no cash at all. So if you are a frequent flyer, this might be a great way to make some extra miles a month. However, if you want to see real money, you are far from where you want to be.

The Opinion Miles Club is a website that is worth the shot, although you have to keep in mind that if you do not have a MileagePlus membership prior to signing up, you will not be accepted to the program.

Do we recommend acquiring a MileagePlus account in order to be able to use the Opinion Miles Club? Absolutely not. If you do not have one already, it means that you won’t give it or the survey miles much use. As we explained, if you are purely gaining miles by completing surveys you will not get a free flight anytime soon, so you might as well just forget about it and try your luck on other websites.
